FRESH BOTTOM PAINT & ENGINES FULLY SERVICED JAN 2012! READY TO CRUISE!

(LOCATION: Tarpon Springs FL) This Gulfstar 43 Trawler is a unique blue water cruiser based on the 43 Motorsailer. Built during the 1970's fuel crisis she combined a sleek hull with Perkins diesel engines to provide 9 knot cruising with low fuel consumption. She features a flybridge, sun deck, covered cockpit, large open salon, galley with dinette, and two staterooms. What else could you ask for? Well, the current owner wanted more so he had the 130-hp Perkins engines replaced with 370-hp Yanmars. The result is twice the performance with little sacrifice in economy. You won't be tempted to join the Poker Run but you will get where you want to go in half the time of a traditional trawler.

Aside from the excellent performance you still have the room and comfort of a trawler. On deck we start at the top with a flybridge with radar arch and hard top. The centerline helm station has single helm seat. The upper helm station is equipped with Furuno GPS/chart plotter interfaced to a Si-Tex auto pilot, bridge/salon intercom, compass, and Uniden VHF radio. There's room for friends and family with guest seating to each side and a sun deck aft with bimini top. Steps aft lead below to the covered cockpit. Wide side decks lead forward with salon access on either side. The foredeck features stainless steel bow and bow pulpit with anchor and windlass. The stern is equipped with an eight foot dinghy with davit.

The salon is center with open seating, large windows, and access to either side deck. There's casual seating, flat screen TV, and lower helm station. The galley is forward and down with teak cabinets, solid surface counter top, stainless steel double sink, three-burner electric range with oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, and full size refrigerator/freezer. Across from the galley is a U-shaped dinette.

There are two staterooms. The forward stateroom features v-berth, under-berth storage, hanging locker, and shelving. The guest head has toilet, vanity with sink, and shower. The master aft cabin has king berth. The ensuite master head has toilet, vanity with sink and shower stall.

Powered by twin 370-hp 2006 Yanmar diesel engines this trawler will get you where you want to go in very "un-trawlerlike" time. They have increased cruise speed from 9 to 20 knots and top speed from an optimistic 14 knots to a very real 28 knots. A trip from Tarpon Springs to Sarasota now takes half the time using the same amount of fuel. If you're looking for trawler comfort but don't have the patience for trawler performance this is the boat for you. If you're not in a hurry the Yanmars will provide exceptional economy at lower speed. Call now for more information and to schedule a showing of this one-of-a-kind 43' Gulfstar Trawler.  Seller says BRING OFFERS!
