La Vie En Rose II is probably on of the nicest, well equipped Hunter 36s on the market. The predecessor to this fast Glen Henderson design was the was the Hunter 356 which shares the same hull, was Cruising Worlds 2002 "Boat of the Year".

As you go through the equipment list it will quickly become evident that this boat represents a genuine bargain! The boat's condition is equally amazing!

Accommodations
La Vie En rose II is a two Cabin Boat that has the capacity to sleep 7. The cockpit is large with high combings that provide a secure feeling and nice back rest while sailing along. There is a great fold-out cockpit table mounted on stainless steel frame that double as a great foot brace while heeled going to weather. The companionway is wide with grab rails. As you enter into the Main Saloon from the companionway, the Galley is to starboard. It is "L" shaped with a polished double stainless steel sink, Corean counter tops, microwave oven, a gimbaled Force Ten 2 burner stove with oven, vented wet dish storage, under counter refrigeration and lots and lots of Storage! The head is to port at the bottom of the companionway. The shower stall and head (Electric head) are separated by a glass partition and door. There is a large mirror with storage for all your toiletries behind it. There is also a 110 outlet for hair dryers and whatnot. As you move forward in the boat the Navigation station is to port along with a large settee that can double as a sea berth. To Starboard is a very nice and very large saloon table that comfortably sets four, wine glasses and all! The forward cabin boosts a very large "V" Berth and a cabin with a big cedar lined hanging locker and equally large cupboard with several shelves for foldable items. Aft of the Galley to starboard you enter the aft cabin. This has a queen size berth with a large hanging locker with more shelves and storage. You would be hard pressed to find another 36 foot boat that sails as well as this and has the room and storage that La Vie En Rose II provides. This is truly a great boat!
Electronics
There is no shortage of electronics on this sweet yacht. She has an ST 6000 Auto Pilot, Raymarine C80 Chart Plotter, Raymarine 2KW mast mounted Radar, ST60 Wind and ST60 Tridata. The Auto Pilot is great for short handed sailing as it can steer either to a course or in relation to the apparent wind angle, adjusting for the wind shifts with allows you the freedom to trim the sails without worrying about where the boat is going. Or... it can steer to a waypoint in a route, in other words, from one waypoint to the next. Truly an amazing piece of equipment.
Hull, Deck and Rigging
La Vie En rose II has a Selden Spar with In-Mast Furling, Solid Boom Van, Harken 4:1 traveler on Stainless Steel Arch, 2 Cabin Top and 2 Genoa Lewmar 2 speed Self Tailing Winches. The genoa winches are mounted for easy access to the helm for short handed sailing. The traveler can be handled from the helm, again this might appeal to short handed sailing. The cockpit also includes two very comfortable aft rail seats complete with cup holders. The helm seat unlocks and folds down into the transom with an easy motion to allow easy entry from the transom for either dock side entry or when your climbing out of the water on the telescoping ladder after a swim. And Oh! don't forget the hot/ cold water transom shower to hose yourself down after your dip! Nice touch. Back in the cockpit... all lines are led aft so you don't have to leave the safety of the cockpit. For those times when you might need to go forward the lifelines are doubled and high, the side decks are uncluttered, wide and easy to move fore and aft on. The Dodger has stainless steel grab rails on the back and sides. The lexan plastic glass in the Dodger is the clearest and strongest on the market and has canvas covers when the boat is not being used or can be zipped out on those warm days when you want a nice flow through breeze. In the bow of the boat is a great anchor locker with a Lewmar electric windlass. She has a Delta anchor mounted on a double stainless steel bow roller. Very nicely done. Folks... this makes anchoring a genuine breeze. And because it's so easy you'll do it more often, that's the idea right?! The head sail is on a furler and takes about ten seconds to unfurl and maybe just a little bit longer to furl. The owner planned on flying a spinnaker but never got around to it, so while there is no sail, the halyard and gear is there, all you need is the sail and you'll fly down wind, yippee! Mounted in the Stainless Steel arch is a pod with a cockpit light and an AM/Fm Stereo and CD along with water proof cockpit speakers. Another nice touch is the Leather wrapped Lewmar Folding Steering Wheel, making it easy to move around the cockpit when either entertaining of just an afternoon working around the boat. You'll notice in the photo of the cockpit there are snaps. These are for the closed cell foam white with Navy Blue piping cockpit cushions and I've got to tell you, these are real comfy and keep your rear end warm when you're relaxing in the cockpit. The 4 D batteries are stored in the port side lazarette which has a light and 110 outlet and is big enough to sleep in. Great for additional sail and/or life raft storage. I suppose if one were clever they could make a work shop down there!
Safety/Miscellaneous
This yacht is equipped with a Lifesling and tackle, Halon Automatic Engine Room Fire Extinguisher, two additional Fire Extinguishers, VHF Radio with Mast Head Antenna, a completely equipped galley, with pots pans, dishes, flat ware and lots of other nice gear! Folks, I've sailed one of these boats from Alameda to Ensenada, Mexico. I started out in 12' seas with 10 second intervals and the boat handled like a dream. We made the trip in three and a half days! it was awesome! This boat is price to sell quickly, be the lucky one!
