Description

“Galileo” is an excellent example of an extremely economical turn key Marine Trader 40 Double Cabin that has been meticulously maintained by her owner.  The vessel is propelled by a single 120HP Ford Lehman diesel that will cruise her at 7-8 knots and tops out at about 10 knots.SHE BURNS 1.95 GALLONS/HOUR AT 7 KNOTS. So she is extremely economical to run, especially on those long cruises.  She has the traditional trawler look and is fitted out on the interior with solid teak trim and panels. She will sleep six owners and guest in her forward stateroom, aft stateroom and main salon. The total teak interior is arranged in a double cabin configuration.  The master stateroom is aft with a full size berth and plenty of storage with ensuite head with stall shower/tub.  The guest stateroom is forward with two twin berths and separate head/shower.  The galley is up in the salon just aft of the lower helm station.  There are port and starboard deck access doors in the salon.  The engine room access is very good and as you would expect with single engine there is plenty of storage.  Maintenance is easy and organized.  The weather decks feature wide side decks, functional mast and boom, a teak bow pulpit with windlass, and teak swim platform.  Trunk cabin and upper decks were painted in 2006.

This vessel has the benefit of   propane powered stove and refrigerator which is a pleasure “on the hook”.  This is a really comfortable and economical long range cruising yacht. She has classic lines and you will enjoy her both dockside and cruising to any port of call. You can be cruising this vessel within days. She is ready to go.  Owner is motivated and is moving up. We will present all offers.
