Description

This 2000 22’ Jones Boats Night Heron was custom-built by Thomas Firth Jones himself as the prototype for his trimaran line in May of 2000. Great for day sailing or a weekend getaway, she can be trailered to just about any location and set up for sailing in short time.

Her aerodynamic tri-hulls combine wood on the topsides with flat fiberglass bottoms. Their simple, sleek design provides plenty of speed and swift, responsive maneuverability. The mast, boom, tiller and daggerboard are all solid woods. The mainsail and jib combine for a sail area of 218 sq. ft. and are in excellent shape. Ideal for single-handers, the asymmetrical spinnaker has seen little use and is like new. Two Lewmar #6 winches facilitate easy sail trimming. The main cabin includes twin berths with storage compartments fore-and-aft and a folding table in the floor space between them. Two meshed nylon wing decks span the aft sections of the hulls and provide lots of space to stretch out and relax. Auxiliary power is available on demand with twin Honda 2 HP outboards with low hours. The floats fold down for easy transport on her Sealion trailer. Also included are a 7 ft. dinghy with oars, mooring block with mushroom anchor, Danforth-type lunch hook with rode, boat hook, 4 life jackets and fire extinguisher.

This is one unique boat and an ideal choice for the fun-loving and discriminating niche sailing enthusiast. Owner will consider all serious offers. Shown by appointment.
